Our work uplifts marginalized groups, preserves the environment, and promotes dignity and equality across Kamrup District.
Founded in 2001, Society for Social Transformation and Environment Protection (sSTEP) focuses on holistic rural and urban community development across Assam. We work in the areas of women empowerment, education, sustainable livelihood, human rights, health, and disaster response. Our approach is participatory and inclusive, ensuring communities become self-reliant and environmentally conscious. We value transparency, equality, and empowerment in every initiative. Through partnerships with local institutions and networks, sSTEP has reached thousands of families with social, educational, and environmental support programs. Our ongoing efforts continue to transform lives across Guwahati, Assam.
